The Maharana Pratap Interstate Bus Terminus (Maharana Pratap ISBT), popularly known as Kashmere Gate Interstate Bus Terminus (Kashmere Gate ISBT), located in Delhi, is the oldest and one of the largest Inter-State Bus Terminals in India.
The terminus was built to decongest the overcrowded Maharana Pratap Interstate Bus Terminus located at Kashmiri Gate in North Delhi, which could not bear the burgeoning traffic. The construction of a new ₹80-crore terminus complex began in March of 1996, [ 1 ] and it was unveiled to the public in January 2005.
At 37 acres (150,000 m 2), the Puratchi Thalaivar Dr. M.G.R. Bus Terminus in Chennai, India, is the second largest bus station in Asia. [5] As of 2010, the terminus handled more than 500 buses at a time, and 3,000 buses and 250,000 passengers a day.

The Kashmere Gate station serves the historic Kashmiri Gate area of Delhi, and is the largest metro station within the Delhi Metro network, spanning a carpet area of about 118,400 square feet (11,000 m 2) [4]. It is also the only metro station in India to function as an interchange for three lines: the Red Line, Yellow Line, and Violet Line. [5]
