According to the United States Census Bureau , the village has a total area of 3.07 square miles (7.95 km 2 ), of which 3.00 square miles (7.77 km 2 ) is land and 0.07 square miles (0.18 km 2 ) is water.
The U.S. Census Bureau defines the Milwaukee Metropolitan area as containing four counties in southeastern Wisconsin: Milwaukee and the three WOW counties: Ozaukee, Washington, and Waukesha.
