Jacques Garcia, (born 25 September 1947) is a French architect, [1] interior designer and garden designer, best known for his contemporary interiors of Paris hotels and restaurants. He is the current owner of the Château du Champ-de-Bataille , a Baroque château lying between the communes of Neubourg and Sainte-Opportune-du-Bosc .
After completing his training at the École Boulle and the École Camondo, Grange made a career as a decorator in France and abroad from the 1970s.His main customers included Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé, for whom he decorated the Château Gabriel, in Benerville-sur-Mer.
French provincial architecture began in rural France the 1600s. The architecture was inspired by the stylings of Versailles during the reign of King Louis XIV. [1] Homes found in Normandy, France are often known for the style. [2] The first homes to be designed in the style were manor houses. [3]
