Luffy, Chopper, Jinbe, and Bonney evade the Pacifista after Bonney uses her Devil Fruit powers to confuse it. Jinbe reveals Kuma's backstory as a deposed king, later becoming a pirate and eventually a cyborg. Meanwhile, Lilith leads the other Straw Hats to Egghead's Labophase. There, they encounter a Seraphim resembling Jinbe.
The Sunny crew reaches Cacao Island, and in the Mirro-World, Pekoms tells Luffy he will activate his Sulong form to distract Oven's army. Upon reaching Cacao Island, Pekoms' distraction allows Luffy to run off, and Sanji joins his captain. Oven and his army eventually stop Pekoms' rampage, and Sanji and Luffy are surrounded.
Buggy and Mr. 3 come across Mr. 2's cell, and release him, telling him Luffy is in the prison, working his way towards level 5. Meanwhile, the navy arrives at Impel Down to help capture Luffy. The captain of the guards, Sadie, order them to guard the outside of the prison, as the Impel Down guards are perfectly capable of catching Luffy themselves.

Luffy discovers the junkyard is named the Gray Terminal. Luffy runs after Ace when he steals the treasure and run into Sabo, a boy who lives there. Luffy discovers the stolen treasure and is tied up. Luffy screams and Porchemy, a member of the Bluejam Pirates, finds them. Luffy, Ace and Sabo escape, but Luffy is captured by Porchemy.
