On February 9, 1911, a full-time chief of police was appointed for Enderby. By 1920 the city had a population of 900 and a chief of police. By 1930 the city had population of 1500 with a chief of police. The British Columbia Provincial Police took over policing of Enderby on April 1, 1930, with one constable.
