Max Ray Brannon (born December 22, 1933) was an American politician in the state of Georgia. Brannon, a funeral director, founded (1967) and operated the Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home in Calhoun, Georgia. He is also a former probate court judge as well as coroner for Gordon County, Georgia. [1]
After graduating from Calhoun High School in 1948, Lance attended Emory University for two years before he transferred to the University of Georgia, where he was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. In 1950, he married LaBelle David, whose family owned the Calhoun First National Bank; they had four sons.
