Kuroko's Basketball (Japanese: 黒子のバスケ, Hepburn: Kuroko no Basuke) is a Japanese sports manga series written and illustrated by Tadatoshi Fujimaki. It was serialized in Shueisha 's shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump from December 2008 to September 2014, with its chapters collected in 30 tankōbon volumes.
Tadatoshi Fujimaki (藤巻 忠俊, Fujimaki Tadatoshi, born June 9, 1982) is a Japanese manga artist, best known as the creator of sports manga Kuroko's Basketball and Robot × LaserBeam, as well as Kill Blue, all of which have been serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump.
He teams up with Kuroko and some second team members in an exhibition game. Kise realizes Kuroko's true abilities as they beat their opponents 83–81. After the game, Kise begins to respect Kuroko (calling him Kurokocchi for the first time) and further develops a love for basketball.
