It's actually pretty clever. It's a pun on the standard weather forecasting format whereby snowfall is reported in inches; vinyl albums were traditionally 12" in diameter and the performer used the name Snow. It's a double pun and it's doubly clever for being perfectly clean. But I agree that it's silly to have it in the puns category.
