Mousetail Landing State Park is a 1,247-acre (5.05 km 2) state park located on the eastern bank of the Tennessee River in Perry County, Tennessee near Linden.The park was established in 1979, making it one of the more recent additions to the Tennessee State Parks system. [1]
Buffalo Ridge is a ridge in western middle Tennessee, primarily located in Humphreys, Perry, and Wayne Counties. The ridge, which reaches over 800 feet in elevation, is located about a mile west of Linden, at its closet point. Tree Farm Road runs the length of the ridge along the crest of the range. [1]
The Buffalo River provides a substantial income of tourism through canoeing and fishing, as does the larger Tennessee River. Mousetail Landing State Park is situated south-west of Lobelville in Perry County along the Tennessee River. The Buffalo River Country Club is a local 9-hole semi-private golf course.
The first courthouse in Linden was a log cabin, built circa 1845, after Decatur County was split off from Perry County and Linden became the county seat. [2] That log courthouse was replaced in 1849-50 by a new two-story wood-frame building. The second courthouse was burned down by Union Army soldiers on May 12, 1863. [3]

Lady's Bluff Small Wild Area (also known as Ladyfinger Bluff Small Wild Area) is a small public access nature preserve managed by the Tennessee Valley Authority located along the Tennessee River in Perry County, Tennessee. A trail leads from a parking area to an overlook atop a high bluff on the river.
