The Norwegian Gymnastics Federation was founded in 1890 as De Norske Turn- og Gymnastikkforeninger, and gymnastics was the first sport in Norway to be organized as a federation. The federation is a member of the Norwegian Confederation of Sports (NIF), the European Union of Gymnastics (UEG) and the International Federation of Gymnastics (FIG).

Drammens Turnforening, often called Drammen Turn is a Norwegian gymnastics club from Drammen. The club was founded on 4 October 1857, and is therefore Norway's third oldest sports club after Oslo TF (founded 1855) and Arendal TF (founded 17 May 1857).
The 1975 European Women's Artistic Gymnastics Championships took place in Skien, Norway. It was the 10th edition of the competition, which started in 1957. This was Nadia Comăneci's international breakthrough. [1]
