Naruto then saves Boruto from being crushed by a cube and pleads with Kawaki to spare Boruto. Boruto chimes in that the meds were a temporary solution, but they now need a permanent solution to eliminate Momoshiki. Kawaki reminds Boruto of his promise to stop him permanently, and Boruto gives his permission to him.
Kawaki (Japanese: カワキ) is a fictional character in Ukyō Kodachi and Mikio Ikemoto's manga Boruto: Naruto Next Generations.Initially appearing in the flashforward in the series debut, Kawaki is a young man and later genetically an Ōtsutsuki who apparently would become the nemesis of the series' lead character, Boruto Uzumaki.
In the ensuing fight, Kawaki slashes out Boruto's right eye, and Sasuke arrives and tries to stop Kawaki, but the latter manages to escape with help of Momoshiki. Kawaki meets with Eida, who uses her Senrigan dojutsu known as the Omnipotence to rewrite everyone's memory: Kawaki and Boruto permanently swapped places.
Tenma's repaired mobile fortress arrives to destroy the Shinonome. Araumi goes to board the fortress while Kawaki follows him. Ikada angrily dispels any attempt of reason and brings out Kobuna. Finally, Ikada proposes to stop the war if Boruto brings him Chojuro's head. Sarada and Mitsuki finally see that there is no point to reason anymore.
Meanwhile, Sasuke teaches Sarada the basics of the Chidori before going on a mission with Sai. Team 7 and Kawaki meet up in the afternoon and Boruto buys Ninja Cards for Kawaki and himself. Kawaki gets a card of Minato Namikaze and trades it with Boruto for a Naruto card. Later, Kawaki fixes the broken vase but is still missing a piece.
Ku appears once again to provoke and attack Boruto, Sarada and Mitsuki. Meanwhile, Ohnoki prepares for a fight to the death in order to stop Ku from doing any more harm, joining Boruto eventually. Naruto also leads a group of ninja to the Hidden Stone to protect their comrades. Before Ku finishes Mitsuki, Ohnoki confronts him.
