Stuart Block (born November 26, 1977) [2] is a Canadian singer who is the lead vocalist of progressive death metal band Into Eternity and a former lead singer of heavy metal band Iced Earth. Before joining Into Eternity in 2005, he began his musical career singing for various bands in Vancouver . [ 3 ]
Also in 2011, Stu Block joined the band Iced Earth. [6] In February 2012, Amanda Kiernan joined the band as their new vocalist. In late 2012, Into Eternity began demoing new material with both Block and Kiernan. [7] On May 4, 2012, their former guitarist, Rob Doherty, died at the age of 41. [8]

Released on October 17, 2011, it was the band's first album to feature vocalist Stu Block, who joined after previous vocalist Matt Barlow left the band. Dystopia was also the only Iced Earth studio album to feature bassist Freddie Vidales and drummer Brent Smedley until his return in 2015.

Metal II, a near complete re-recording of Metal, was released on February 18, 2022, which serves as a tribute to Eddie Van Halen and Alexi Laiho, the latter of whom appears posthumously on one of the album's re-recorded tracks "Downright Dominate", which also features Dave Lombardo on drums and Stu Block on vocals.
