The Cleveland Chamber Symphony (CCS) is an American chamber orchestra based in Cleveland, Ohio, focused on performing contemporary classical music. Since its inception, CCS has presented over 200 performance premieres.
The Orchestra comprises about 60 musicians and performs six concerts each season at Cuyahoga Community College Metro, Parma, and Highland Hills campuses. [2] The Cleveland Philharmonic's current Music Director, Victor H. Liva, began his first season with the orchestra as it celebrated the 70th concert season in 2007–2008.

Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Russell attended Ludlow Elementary School in Shaker Heights, outside of Cleveland.Active in theater and music in high school at Shaker Heights High School, he played piano and trumpet in band, orchestra, jazz ensemble, and theatrical productions, and formed a "garage band" that played cover tunes from the great funk horn bands of the late 1970s.
The program, featuring both guest artist Pamela Z and guest performers from the International Contemporary Ensemble, includes works by 20 composers.
