Andrew Ian Murray (born 1 October 1970) is a British writer of children's books. A native of Bromley, South-East London, he is the creator of the Buddy and Elvis picture books with Nicola Slater. Andrew Murray Scott (born 1955 in Aberdeen, Scotland) is a novelist, poet and non-fiction book writer. [1] His first novel, Tumulus , appeared in 2000, as the winner of the inaugural Dundee International Book Prize for unpublished novels, against 82 other manuscripts, winning the author £6,000 plus a publishing deal.
His second book, The Sanctuary, was published in May 2022. [5] Murray is a member of the Jane Austen-themed improvisational comedy troupe Austentatious. [6] In February 2021, Murray appeared as a contestant on episodes 76–80 of the fourth series of BBC Two's Richard Osman's House of Games. [7]
