Taiping Hospital, formerly known as Yong Wah Hospital, is a district general hospital was one of the first hospitals established in Malaysia. Located at Jalan Taming Sari (Main Road) near the commercial town centre, it is one of the biggest hospitals in Malaysia and is the second biggest in the State of Perak .
The hospital was constructed in 1880 by the British Malaya government. In 1941, the hospital was taken over by the Japanese government. In 1946, the hospital opened its X-ray department. In 1956, a nursing training center was opened at the hospital. In 1976, the hospital lost its general hospital status over Ipoh Hospital. [1]

[22] The project included the 1.3-km Sultan Yusuf Bridge FT5, the longest bridge along the Federal Route 5.
