The Pure Water Forum receives support from various sources including corporate gifts and state watershed roundtable support from Virginia DEQ. When adequate funding is available, the Forum regrants that money to local nonprofit groups, schools, and other qualifying partners working on projects in keeping with our mission.

Over the past several years, the Pure Water Forum has hosted a Shenandoah River float trip for a diverse group of representatives from the local watershed community. This group has included elected officials, university staff and faculty, local government staff, and representatives from both the private and non profit sectors.
The Pure Water Forum serves as sounding board for new and innovative stewardship projects, research, and education initiatives dedicated to the restoration and protection of the Shenandoah River and its tributaries. One of the Forum’s primary objectives is to provide support to our partner organizations.

The Pure Water Forum scholarship is open to any student who resides in the Shenandoah Valley Watershed. The scholarship can cover half of the tuition of the camp or class with a maximum of five hundred dollar scholarship.
