The main block was built about 1803, and is a two-story, five-bay, transitional Georgian / Federal style frame dwelling. It has a gable roof and double-shouldered brick end chimneys.

The earliest section of the house was built sometime between 1770 and 1820, and is a three-bay, two-story frame dwelling over a stone-walled cellar.
