It includes the portions of Midland and Odessa in Midland County. [ 2 ] Led by Superintendent of Schools Dr. Stephanie D. Howard, over 26,000 students are spread out amongst the various campuses.
The school originally opened its doors in 1961, seven years before the city’s high schools integrated. [4] In October 2020, the Midland school board voted to rename the school "Legacy High School".
