Preble County, Ohio. Preble County (/ ˈprɛbəl / PREH-bəl[3]) is a county located in the U.S. state of Ohio. As of the 2020 census, the population was 40,999, [4] down 3.0% from the 2010 census population of 42,270. [5] Its county seat is Eaton. [6] The county was formed on February 15, 1808, from portions of Butler and Montgomery Counties.

Sherman. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. It was documented by the Historic American Engineering Record (HAER) in 2003.

It was built in 1829, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971. [ 1] The bridge was built in 1829 by (and named for) Orlistus Roberts, originally crossing Sevenmile Creek about 2.5 miles (4.0 km) south of Eaton at 39°42′41″N 84°37′15″W. [ 2] It was restored in 1962, and further repairs were made in 1974.

Lanier Township was founded in 1811, and named for Alexander C. Lanier, an early settler in Preble County. It is the only Lanier Township statewide. Government. The township is governed by a three-member board of trustees, who are elected in November of odd-numbered years to a four-year term beginning on the following January 1.
