Sherman County is a county in the U.S. state of Nebraska. As of the 2020 United States Census, the population was 2,959. [1] Its county seat is Loup City. He wrote to Nebraska Chamber of Commerce, asking for a list of Nebraska towns with two syllables and found Hazard ideal for its double meaning (The lyrics refer to a river, which the real Hazard does not possess; however, there is a muddy creek).
