Paul Lazarus Germain [1] (born June 6, 1959) is an American writer, director, and producer. Germain—along with Arlene Klasky and Gábor Csupó—was one of the creators of the Nickelodeon animated series Rugrats. [2] He also co-created the series Recess [3] and Lloyd in Space, [3] also having worked on The Tracey Ullman Show and Even Stevens.

Paul "Skip" Rickert grew up in the Birch Valley section of Levittown, Pennsylvania and attended Pennsbury High School in Fairless Hills.
