Louis William Tomlinson (/ ˈ l uː i ˈ t ɒ m l ɪ n s ə n /; [1] born Louis Troy Austin; 24 December 1991) is an English singer and songwriter. He rose to fame as a member of the boy band One Direction. Tomlinson auditioned for British singing competition The X Factor as a solo artist in 2010, but was eliminated.
