The Oude Kerk (English: Old Church) is Amsterdam's oldest building and newest art institute (since 2012). The building was founded about 1213 and consecrated in 1306 by the bishop of Utrecht with Saint Nicolas as its patron saint. After the Reformation in 1578, it became a Calvinist church, which it remains today.
The Oudekerksplein (English: Old Church's Square) is a square in the centre of Amsterdam.It is named after the 14th-century church Oude Kerk which dominates the square. The Oudekerksplein is wedged between the Warmoesstraat street and Oudezijds Voorburgwal canal.

The Noorderkerk (Dutch for "northern church") is a 17th-century Protestant church in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The Noorderkerk is located along Prinsengracht canal, on Noordermarkt square. The church is used for Dutch Reformed Church services and is also used regularly for classical music concerts.
Paradiso is a music venue located in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Built in 1880 as a church for the Vrije Gemeente (Free Congregation), it was converted into a music venue and a youth entertainment centre in 1968. Until the 1990s, it was the largest concert club in Amsterdam. It is often referred to as the "poptempel". [1]

The neighboring Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel (formerly the Sonesta Hotel) rents the church building from the Lutheran Church. In 1975 a tunnel was built by the hotel to access the church. [ 2 ] In 1983 the church was closed for restoration, but in 1993 the dome caught fire, [ 1 ] and the church was again restored.
