Arthur Warren Darley (19 June 1873 – 19 December 1929) was an Irish violinist, folksong collector, music teacher, and adjudicator as well as a traditional music archivist. As a violinist (or " fiddler ") he was equally at home in classical music as in the traditional music of Ireland .

From 1917 to 1922 she studied in Royal Academy of Music, London, becoming the sub-professor of violin in 1920. During this time she also won a number of medals, graduated LRAM in 1921 and was elected ARAM in 1931 having been appointed the Academy's honorary local representative in Dublin.

Fowlkes later exchanged his violin for the trumpet and became immersed in the burgeoning music scene of post-prohibition era Chicago. At the age of 23, he joined the U.S. Army and traveled south with the 201st AGF Band. While stationed in Mississippi at Camp Shelby, the 201st AGP Band performed for many college and social club dances. [1]
