Until the End is the third studio album by Canadian heavy metal band Kittie, released on July 26, 2004, through Artemis Records. It was their only album with bassist Jennifer Arroyo, who joined the band in March 2002. The album was recorded in March 2004 with producer Steve Thompson at Long View Farm Studios in North Brookfield, Massachusetts.
Kittie's subsequent output, including Oracle (2001) and Until the End (2004), saw the band transition towards a heavier, more aggressive albeit melodic sound featuring characteristics of alternative metal, groove metal and death metal. Neither album was able to replicate the success of Spit, and Kittie parted ways with Artemis Records in 2005.
[1] [2] [3] He is best known for his time playing guitar in the hardcore punk and metalcore bands Where Fear and Weapons Meet, Until the End, Target Nevada, On Bodies, and Morning Again. [ 2 ] [ 4 ] [ 5 ] [ 6 ] He also played in the bands Destro, All Hell Breaks Loose, Dance Floor Justice, Phantom Drive, No Excuses, and More Than Ever.
Many of the survivors said that Hartley and the band continued to play until the very end. Reportedly, their final tune was the hymn " Nearer, My God, to Thee ", [ 3 ] although other sources suggest it was "Songe d'Automne" (also known simply as "Autumn").
Forming the band The Loose Ends and adopting the stage name Jon T. Bone, Burnett wrote and recorded a 1966 single "Free Soul"/"He's A Nobody". The b-side briefly charted on local Fort Worth radio station KFJZ, and the single was picked up for national distribution by Mala Records , though it made no national chart listings.
Their third album, Until the End (2004), debuted at number 105 on the Billboard 200. [11] Its only single, "Into the Darkness", reached number 116 on the UK Singles Chart. [7] In 2005, Kittie left Artemis Records and partnered with Rock Ridge Music to release the band's fourth EP Never Again (2006).
