La Grange Park is a village in Cook County, Illinois, United States, about 13 miles (21 km) west-southwest of Chicago. According to the 2020 census , the population was 13,475. [ 3 ]
The team played at Elementary School Park. The Opelousas Orphans played a portion of the 1932 season in the Cotton States League. Opelousas was an affiliate of the Cleveland Indians (1935–1937, 1939). [33]

The Opelousas Daily World was founded by John R. Thistlethwaite and Ducote Andrepont. The newspaper was the first offset-printed daily newspaper in the world, and remained the sole offset-printed daily newspaper for nine years. [1] Its first edition was published on December 24, 1939.
Washington was founded in 1720 as a French trading post. In 1774 the first church, La Iglesia paroquial de la Immaculada Conception del Puesto de Opelousas was started and the post became known as Church Landing. In 1835 the town was incorporated under the current name.
