Scouts BSA Handbook is the official handbook of Scouts BSA, published by the Boy Scouts of America. It is a descendant publication of Baden-Powell 's original handbook, Scouting for Boys , which has been the basis for Scout handbooks in many countries, with some variations to the text of the book depending on each country's codes and customs.
Offered only in 2010, the Historical Merit Badge program, part of the Boy Scouts of America centennial, allowed Scouts to earn the discontinued Carpentry, Pathfinding, Signalling, and Tracking (originally called Stalking) merit badges. The patches for these historical merit badges are distinguished by a gold ring on the outside edge.

Powder Horn was a skills resource course for Venturing and Scouts BSA leaders and youth (age 14 and up) of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA). Powder Horn is also described as a "hands-on resource management course" designed to give Scouting leaders "the contacts and tools necessary to conduct an awesome high-adventure program" in their Scouting unit. The Potawatomi Area Council has a professional staff of approximately 15 people. It comprises 21 Venturing Crews, 2 Sea Scout Ships, 101 Cub Scout Packs and 78 Boy Scout Troops in three districts. The council number is 651, which was assigned in 1931 when the council was chartered. [2] Its headquarters and service center are in Waukesha.
