It should be a good upgrade from 12 Pro Max. The camera is a great improvement with increased zoom (almost double). 120Hz display will be good. Always on display is another addition. 15 Pro Max will have better battery life. Performance should be better with the new chip along with 8 GB RAM.

It appears on the 12, the 12 mini, the 12 Pro, and the 12 Pro Max. If you look at Apple’s AR previews of the phones, the pill-shaped thing appears to be indented ever-so-slightly into the phone, unlike how it looks on the iPad Pro. This leads me to believe that it is indeed some sort of new antenna for 5G capabilities.

Keep in mind that I'm going from LTE to 5G on T-Mobile so the different band for 5G could be helping with better signal. I was averaging 30 to 50 Mbps down and 20 Mbps up on LTE. Now 120 Mbps to 170 Mbps down and 30 Mbps up ...
The iPhone 15 Pro stays cool to the touch for the most part, even when playing games. It can heat up when charging at random times, but it's not a consistent issue.
