The Bangalore University has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council [5] in 2001 and awarded Five Star Status. [6] The university is a member [7] of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), [8] and has also received the recognition of University Grants Commission (UGC). [9]
The university was formed in 2017 following the trifurcation of Bangalore University, [3] Dr. Venugopal K R, UVCE Alumni, Principal UVCE was the Special Officer [4] [5] to the Government of Karnataka for Trifurcating Bangalore University.
