[1] The forest headquarters is located in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. There are local ranger district offices located in Coeur d'Alene and Silverton. [2]
Lane is an unincorporated community in Kootenai County, Idaho, United States. Lane is located along the Coeur d'Alene River and Idaho State Highway 3. It is 12 miles (19 km) northeast of Harrison. The community was founded as a lumber town in the 1880s and named after a logger. [1]
Joseph T. Scott published the first issue of the Coeur d'Alene Press on February 20, 1892. In his salutation, Scott stated, "The people of Kootenai County are here for a purpose: Nature has placed before them crude material for building up a prosperous and wealthy community... and the Press proposes to be one of the factors in this development."
