Carleton Varney, a protégé of Dorothy Draper, decorated Grand Hotel in late 19th-century decor, including Pelargonium geraniums. Project Greek Island (previously code-named "Project Casper" [1]) was a United States government continuity program located at the Greenbrier hotel in West Virginia. [2] The facility was decommissioned in 1992 after the program was exposed by The Washington Post. It is now known as the Greenbrier Bunker.
