Urdu literature (Urdu: ادبیاتِ اُردُو, “Adbiyāt-i Urdū”) comprises the literary works, written in the Urdu language.While it tends to be dominated by poetry, especially the verse forms of the ghazal (غزل) and nazm (نظم), it has expanded into other styles of writing, including that of the short story, or afsana (افسانہ).
Baba Mohammad Yahya Khan (Urdu بابا محمد یحیی خان) is a Sufi, writer, traveller, and actor. He is a spiritual mentor of many people around the globe. [ 2 ] Baba ji introduces himself as a Durvaish of Malaamti Order of Spiritualism.
He started his career by writing short stories for children and then wrote his first novel in 1973. He is the author of the highest number of novels (his 773rd novel is published by Atlantis Publications in April 2011) by any author in any language throughout the world. [4] He was influenced by the Urdu fiction writer Ibn-e-Safi. [2]
Muhammad Asim Butt (Urdu: محمد عاصم بٹ) is an Urdu novelist, short story writer, translator, researcher, editor, critic and journalist. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] [ 3 ] He has published three novels and two collections of short stories along with a number of books translated from English into Urdu and vice versa.
His novels Muhammad Bin Qasim, Aakhri Ma'raka, Qaisar-o Kisra, and Qafla-i Hijaz describe the era of Islam's rise to political, militaristic, economic, and educational power, while Yusuf Bin Tashfain, Shaheen, [6] Kaleesa Aur Aag, and Andheri Raat Ke Musafir describe the period of the Spanish Reconquista.

Fasana-e-Azad (Urdu: فسانۂ آزاد; transl. The Adventures of Azad, also romanized as Fasana-i-Azad) is an Urdu novel by Ratan Nath Dhar Sarshar.It was serialized in Avadh Akhbar between 1878 and 1883 before it was published in four large volumes by the Nawal Kishore Press.
