Aptiv PLC is an Irish-American [3] [4] automotive technology supplier with headquarters in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. [1] Aptiv grew out of the now-defunct American company, Delphi Automotive Systems , which itself was formerly a component of General Motors .
The company was founded in 2013. In August 2016, it launched its robo-taxi service (pilot project) in Singapore. In October 2017, Delphi Automotive (now Aptiv) purchased the company, which then became part of the Motional autonomous driving joint venture between Aptiv and Hyundai Motor Group. [1]
