Council Grove is a city in and the county seat of Morris County, Kansas, United States. [1] As of the 2020 census , the population of the city was 2,140. [ 4 ] It was named after an agreement between American settlers and the Osage Nation allowing settlers' wagon trains to pass westward through the area on the Santa Fe Trail .
On 19 April 1938, at the presidium of the City Council, the territorial boundaries of the district were established and the Kaganovich District was organized with the center at the Almaty-1 station. In July 1957, the district was renamed to Oktyabrsk .

The Bostandyq District was first established on 31 January 1966 by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Kazakh SSR.It was named Kalinin District and was formed in connection with the expansion of the territory, the city at the expense of the adjacent lands and the disaggregation of the Soviet District.
