The Newcastle Civic Theatre, also known as The Civic, is a heritage-listed building located on Hunter Street, Newcastle, Australia.Opened in 1929, the 1520-seat theatre is now the venue for a wide range of musicals, plays, concerts and dance events each year and is the city's oldest surviving theatre.

Live from Faraway Stables is a 2003 live album and concert film by Australian alternative rock band Silverchair.It was recorded at their concert held on 19 April 2003, at Newcastle Civic Theatre in the band's home-town of Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia, [5] and was the second show to be held there [6] during the band's Across the Night world tour of March to June 2003.
