Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz, often called "Doof" for short, also known as Professor Time, is a fictional character from the American animated television series Phineas and Ferb and Milo Murphy's Law. He was created by Dan Povenmire and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh , and is voiced by Povenmire.
The third season of Phineas and Ferb first aired on Disney Channel on March 4, 2011, and on Disney XD on March 7, 2011. The five main characters include stepbrothers Phineas Flynn and Ferb Fletcher, the boys' older sister Candace Flynn, secret agent Perry the Platypus (who is also Phineas and Ferb's pet), and the evil scientist Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz.
Doofenshmirtz then wonders what was the conclusion to the story. In Reginald's story, Phineastein and Ferbgor find the monster and the winner of the ball is announced: it is Constance, who has accidentally drunk Jekyll's formula and transformed into a beast, herself, and gets chased by the mob, presumed to be captured or killed.
Charlene Doofenshmirtz (voiced by Allison Janney) is the former wife of Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz and shares custody of their daughter, Vanessa. Unaware of Dr. Doofenshmirtz's "evil" side, and in fact saying she does not believe someone can ever be truly evil, she divorced him due to a lack of common interests and having different life-goals.
As a result, Perry's nemesis, Dr. Doofenshmirtz, comes out unharmed from the effects of the now-destroyed machine. Over time, everything is altered and the Tri-State Area becomes childproof for fear of a repeat of Phineas and Ferb's dangerous activities. Doofenshmirtz eventually gains the upper hand, effectively becoming the ruler.
