Built several years after the close of World War II, the original Westgate Center opened in 1954. The first such shopping mall in Greater Cleveland, 8.5 miles (13.7 km) from downtown's Public Square, and the first suburban shopping mall in Ohio, as one of the first post-war suburban retail centers with department store anchors in the United States, situated on a 55-acre (22 ha) parcel.

Westland Mall is a demolished 860,000-square-foot (80,000 m 2) shopping center located at the intersection of U.S. Route 40 and Interstate 270 on the west side of Columbus, Ohio. In November 2012, the majority of the mall closed, and the last anchor closed in 2017. A mixed use development is planned, and demolition began around August 2023.
Columbus City Center (known locally as City Center) was a 1,250,000 sq ft (116,000 m 2), three-level shopping mall in Columbus, Ohio. It was located in the city's downtown, near the Ohio Statehouse, next to the Ohio Theatre, and connected to the Hyatt on Capitol Square hotel. The mall closed and was demolished in 2009.
They won the lawsuit and Westgate Resorts were ordered to pay $600,000. Despite paying $50,000 initially, Westgate stopped payment and the matter went back to the courts for another three years. The matter was finally settled under Judge Michael Baxley, and Westgate agreed to pay $500,000, $100,000 less than the original judgement required. [8] [9]
The White Castle Restaurant is a historic restaurant building, built in Columbus, Ohio. It was listed on the Columbus Register of Historic Properties in 1984. The building was moved to Orient, Ohio in 1986, replaced with a new White Castle building. The site in Columbus is currently vacant.
