A number of historically and architecturally significant havelis survive in Pakistan, most of which are situated in the Punjab province. The most significant in Lahore , the Haveli of Nau Nihal Singh , dates from the Sikh era of the mid-19th century, and is considered to be one of the finest examples of Sikh architecture in Lahore.
