Iv'e bought 3 cars off rental fleets, as well as my parents did years ago. Now these rental outlets no longer exist, & companies like CarMax & Carvana buy these up & put a serious markup on them, & the actual manufactures now have agreements to buy these vehicles back or are leasing them out to them.

A couple months ago I rented a car thru AARP Travel Center/Budget. The confirmation email quoted a Base Price of $272.70 and Taxes and Fees of $102.40 for a total price of $375.10 and stated that the total price included all mandatory taxes and fees.
