The 1985–1986 New Bedford fishermen's strike was a labor strike involving fishermen in the port city of New Bedford, Massachusetts, United States. The strike, led by the Seafarers International Union of North America, began on December 26, 1985, after discussions on the terms of a new labor contract fell apart.
Built by the New Bedford Port Society, it was completed on May 2, 1832.It is a contributing property to the New Bedford Historic District, a National Historic Landmark..
