Loris is a city in Horry County, South Carolina, United States. The population was 2,396 at the 2010 census, [5] up from 2,079 in 2000. Loris was founded on December 7, 1887 as a railroad town, originally serving the Wilmington, Chadbourn, and Conway Railroad. [6] . Loris was later incorporated on July 26, 1902. [6] .
