Still not working. Pairs with Samsung TV then asks if I want to pair audio. No codes requested, but automatically it pairs with Bose sound bar. However, once paired with sound bar, it is no longer paired with TV. Program on xfinity does not allow me to pair sound bar first. Not a choice. Not an option.
My Xfinity remote voice command just stopped working out of the blue. I press the voice command button and I hear a little noise, followed by a prompt on the screen that says "Voice commands aren't working right now. Please try again later." When I replace batteries on my XR15 remote, the remote backlighting does not come on when I move it. It only comes on when I touch a key. Hello! My Xfinity xr15 remote isn't working. When I press down on either the volume controls or mute button, the light just turns red. It is not low battery because the remote control is at 96%. I have tried resetting the tv box and re pairing the remote but it doesn't work. Everything else like channels and buttons do work.
I tried a system refresh and powering everything down and back on. I went to the Comcast store today and got a new remote, and did all the same steps, and still nothing is working. Our tv does not have volume controls on it and this is the only remote we have. The TV is now stuck in a very low volume and is pretty much not watchable.
My XR15 remote is only working to change channels. Volume, Mute & Power button are not working. This happened to me about 3 weeks ago and after numerous calls with Xfinity and trying to reset and reprogram I had to get another remote. The issue is happening with all of the remotes that I have. Two are XFinity provided (one XR11 and one XR15) and one is the remote that came with my Sony TV (the one we use most often). The box does not respond to any of the remotes (like trying to hit the 'continue' button on screen) - there is no way I have found to get past this.
Hello, @user_6ac190 have you checked the battery level on your remote? Press the Xfinity Button on your remote and click on the gear symbol. Then scroll down to "Remote Setting". In most cases when the voice command fails to respond the batteries are low.
