The Lakeville Journal celebrated its 125th year publishing in 2022, with a full slate of events centered around the communities it covers and local journalism. On August 13, the Salisbury Association in Salisbury, Conn., opened an exhibit, "Life of A Community: The Lakeville Journal Celebrates 125 years."
In 1929, the school was sold to the Correll and Kamprath families and was relocated to 24 South Seventh Street. In 1979 the School was moved again to the Chamber of Commerce Building in Minneapolis. In 1969 ITT Educational Services Inc. purchased the school. Terry L. Myhre purchased the school in January 1988. [3]
Festivities include one of the area's largest parades that features local marching bands, service organizations, and many local businesses. There is also a carnival and a fireworks display during the event. In February, the city hosts the Apple Valley Winter Carnival. Events include ice skating, a medallion hunt, contests and children events.
