Brassière band size is measured below the breasts, not at the bust. A woman with measurements of 36A–27–38 will have a different presentation than a woman with measurements of 34C–27–38. In addition, vanity sizing practices will have some bra's sized differently than their actual band or cup size. Units of measure and cup size letters will vary regionally, but the US units and sizes seem to be the dominant when provided in a girl's "measurements".
