Kabetogama Lake or Lake Kabetogama (/ ˌ k æ b ə ˈ t oʊ ɡ ə m ə / KAB-ə-TOH-gə-mə) [1] is a clear lake in northern St. Louis County, Minnesota. This body of water lies within Voyageurs National Park , and with a surface area of 25,760 acres (104 km 2 ), it is one of the state's 10 largest inland lakes.
Kabetogama is the gateway into the park. Kabetogama Lake has 25,000 acres (100 km 2) of waters and has 200 islands. Kabetogama Lake was carved from an ancient glacier flow. Kabetogama Lake runs into Namakan lake to the east. Kabetogama is noted for walleye fishing. There are also northern pike, crappie, perch, and bass.
