The proposal included three stations in Carrolton, including one at North Carrollton Transit Center. [8] In 2002, the City of Carrollton proposed names for the three Carrollton stations on the corridor. The proposal named the station adjacent to North Carrollton Transit Center "Trinity Mills", moving the "North Carrollton" name to the terminus.
Trinity Mills was a small community originally settled in 1853 on land that today is part of the city of Carrollton in northwest Dallas County, Texas, United States.. The community was on A. W. Perry's land grant and was named for a gristmill owned by him and Wade H. Witt.
The former 1924-built Carrollton Missouri–Kansas–Texas Depot was moved 300 feet (91 m) to accommodate the new light rail line. [5] The DART station opened as part of the Green Line's expansion on December 6, 2010.

North Carrollton/Frankford station (sometimes shortened to North Carrollton station) is a DART light rail station in Carrollton, Texas that serves as the northern terminus of the Green Line. [1] The station is the only DART facility to be located in Denton County and primarily serves as a park-and-ride .
