Charles "Charley" Depoe is the correct spelling of the founder of Depoe Bay. The allotment of land now called Depoe Bay was originally his after the Dawes Act. The last name was never "DEPOT" so please stop editing the name. His grandson was the late Chief William DePoe. Both of their graves are located on Government Hill on the Siletz Reservation.
