Robert E. Lee High School was established in 1928, during the Jim Crow-era, and named in honor of Robert E. Lee, the military commander of the Confedererate Army. His teams are known for their smash-mouth running game. Wilson is a 1970 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Midland, Texas.
