In 1892, the Children's Free Hospital officially opened, becoming the #10 children's hospital to open in the United States. On Sept. 29, 2024, clinical services, including the Emergency Department, at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (Children's) Egleston Hospital moved to Arthur M. Blank Hospital.
