Norfolk County (/ ˈ n ɔːr f oʊ k / NOR-fohk) is a rural single-tier municipality on the north shore of Lake Erie in Southwestern Ontario, Canada with a 2023 population of 73,015. [3] Despite its name, it is no longer a county by definition, as all municipal services are handled by a single level of government.
The Regional Municipality of Haldimand–Norfolk was created by Act of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario in 1973, which took effect on January 1, 1974. The creation of the Regional Municipality resulted in the consolidation of the former municipalities of Haldimand and Norfolk Counties into six new municipalities:

Port Rowan is a town in Norfolk County, Ontario, Canada. It is located on Lake Erie , adjacent to Long Point . The lakeside community has a population of 1,357 people as of 2021 and sports a number of traditional small businesses which have been operating in the town for decades.
Since the 1980s, individuals social planning organizations have taken a greater role in organizing SPO conferences and collaborating on social issues. Due to the high number of social planning organizations in Ontario , communication and collaboration between SPOs in that province are more frequent than in other provinces across Canada.
Norfolk FS (formerly known as the Norfolk Co-Operative) also holds a major base of operations here, which provides chemicals and most agriculture-related goods in addition to animal feed for local farmers. The Townsend Farmers' Mutual Fire Insurance Company has its headquarters in Waterford where it was started by farmers in 1879.
